On February 23, 2026, Lauree Thomas Hutchins peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family and community.
5:00pm-7:00pm visitation Friday, March 6, 2026, Serenity Farewell Services; Service Saturday, March 7, 2026, 12:00pm at True Bible Way Apostolic Church, Natchez, MS. Bishop Andre Ramsey, officiating. Interment following at Pernell Cemetery, Garden City, MS.
Lauree was born on June 9, 1949, in Franklin County, Mississippi, to the late Cleveland Thomas and Susiana Pernell Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Milton Hutchins; her daughter, Katrina Hutchins Buie; and her siblings, Anniece Green, Betty J. Coleman, Muriel L. Thomas, Geraldine “Jelena” Diamond, and James C. Thomas Sr.
Lauree dedicated her life to her family and especially her role as a grandmother. She found joy in sewing, traveling, and worshiping the Lord. She was a faithful member and served as a mother at True Bible Way Apostolic Church until her health declined. Lauree was a graduate of Mount Olive High School and Delta Career College.
Lauree leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Sherry Hutchins Earl (Martin G. Earl); her son, Martavious Z. Hutchins (Allison); grandson, Martin Robertson, Jr.; granddaughters, I’Keria Bradford and Sha’Kira Hutchins; great-grandchildren, Mason M. Hutchins, Keegan Hutchins, and Nataleigh Perry; brother, Arthur Thomas (Elaine); sisters, Annie M. Chatman and Isephine Morgan (Otis); brothers-in-law, Leon Hutchins III, Claude Hutchins (Edna), Frank Hutchins, Ricky Hutchins (Peggy), and Michael Winding; sisters-in-law, Mary L. Jones, Volia Hutchins, and Eula Hutchins; and an aunt, Minnie L. Nelson. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
